In this installment of Deluxe we explore haute couture, and the designers who have shaped 21st Century clothing, from the former master of fashion Yves Saint Laurent, to Jean Paul Gaultier. Haute Couture is French for “high dressmaking”, and covers only the most luxurious and exclusively designed fashion. As such, the term “haute couture” is protected, and can be only used by designers who meet the strictest standards.
